I had the privilege of hosting the NSE Clearing 30 Years Celebration, a prestigious evening celebrating three decades of trust, transformation, innovation, resilience and excellence.
The event brought together distinguished dignitaries, leadership, industry stakeholders, partners, employees and members of the financial-market ecosystem to celebrate the remarkable journey of NSE Clearing.
For me, being the emcee and host for such a significant NSE event was both a professional honour and a memorable milestone in my journey as a corporate anchor.
The evening was built around the theme:

30 Years of Trust, Transformation and Excellence
As the event script itself highlighted, thirty years represented far more than a number — it represented three decades of trust, transformation and innovation, along with excellence, resilience and commitment to India’s financial markets
A Prestigious Evening at NSE
The celebration opened with a warm welcome to distinguished dignitaries, guests, Board members, leadership, colleagues, partners and friends of NSE Clearing.
As the NSE event emcee, my role was to set the context for the evening, introduce each segment, welcome senior dignitaries, manage transitions and keep the event flowing seamlessly.
The opening reflected the significance of the occasion — three decades of trust, transformation, resilience and commitment to India’s financial markets.
For an emcee, events of this scale require much more than simply reading a script.
They require:
- Preparation
- Stage presence
- Knowledge of the event flow
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Audience engagement
- Timing
- Presence of mind
- Seamless transitions
- The ability to adapt in real time
And that is what makes hosting large corporate and financial events so exciting.
The Evening Began With a Ceremonial Lamp Lighting
The formal proceedings began with the ceremonial lamp lighting.
The lamp represented knowledge, enlightenment, hope and new beginnings, making it especially meaningful for a celebration marking three decades of NSE Clearing.
The ceremony brought together distinguished leaders from SEBI, NSE Clearing and NSE, including senior leadership such as the Chairman of SEBI, Whole-Time Members of SEBI, the Chairman of NSE Clearing Limited and the MD & CEO of NSE India Limited.
As the emcee, I had the responsibility of introducing the dignitaries and ensuring that this important ceremonial moment was conducted with the appropriate tone and dignity.

The evening then moved into a series of important leadership addresses.

- Shri Tuhin Kanta Pandey, Chairman, SEBI
The keynote address by Shri Tuhin Kanta Pandey was one of the significant moments of the evening, with the event programme introducing him as the Chief Guest and highlighting his role in India’s securities-market ecosystem.
For an emcee, introducing senior leaders at a high-profile financial event requires precision, confidence and the ability to maintain the right balance between warmth and formality.
Celebrating 30 Years Through the NSE Clearing Corporate AV
One of the highlights of the evening was the NSE Clearing 30 Years Corporate AV.
The AV took the audience through the milestones, achievements and defining moments that shaped NSE Clearing over three decades.
It was a powerful reminder that behind every institutional milestone are people, teams, technology, partnerships and years of collective effort.
As an emcee, I love these moments because they allow the audience to pause and absorb the story behind the celebration before the event moves into its next chapter.
The Iconic 30 Years Bell Ringing Ceremony
Perhaps one of the most exciting moments of the evening was the 30 Years Bell Ringing Ceremony.
The bell ringing marked the completion of 30 remarkable years of NSE Clearing and symbolised the beginning of its next chapter.
The moment was built around:
Thirty years of trust.
Thirty years of transformation.
Thirty years of excellence.
Thirty years of partnerships and shared achievements.
The audience was invited to participate in the countdown, building anticipation before the final:
10… 9… 8… 7… 6… 5… 4… 3… 2… 1…
And then — the bell rang.
The moment marked the celebration of 30 remarkable years of NSE Clearing, followed by a group photograph with dignitaries and the leadership team.
For an emcee, moments like this are incredibly rewarding because you are not simply announcing what is happening — you are helping create the energy in the room.
Recognising the People Behind the Journey
The celebration then moved into an extensive felicitation ceremony.
The event recognised the people and organisations that contributed to NSE Clearing’s journey over the last three decades.
This included employees, market infrastructure institutions, depositories, custodians, clearing banks, clearing members, technology partners and member organisations.
The programme recognised a wide ecosystem of organisations, including National Stock Exchange of India Limited, BSE Limited, depositories, clearing corporations, banks, financial institutions, technology partners and market participants.
The felicitation extended across multiple sets, recognising organisations and partners from across India’s financial-market ecosystem.
This was a long and detailed segment, and for an emcee, such segments require focus, accuracy, energy and exceptional attention to detail.
What Does an Emcee Do at a Large NSE Event?
Hosting the NSE Clearing 30 Years Celebration was a significant milestone in my professional anchoring journey.
It was an opportunity to work in an environment where precision, professionalism and stage presence were equally important.
From welcoming distinguished dignitaries and introducing senior leadership to building anticipation for the 30-year bell ringing and managing the extensive felicitation ceremony, every segment required a different kind of stage presence.
The experience reinforced something I have always believed:
A great emcee doesn’t just speak. A great emcee understands the room, understands the event and makes the entire experience flow.
